I Popped the Question

So a couple of hours ago, I popped the all important question and #PutARingOnIt 💍. Yes I did and it was just so beautiful. I asked my beautiful friend Miss Somtochukwu Ifunanya Michelle to marry me. I told her I did not want to live my life without her in it. The look on her face was priceless as she said YES.

Earlier in the day
I intentionally annoyed her so that she would not have any idea what was going to happen this evening. I planned an apology strategy with my friend and brother Mr Sunny Okafor. We decided to go get ice cream at the eatery. She didn't even get dressed for the occasion but that wasn't necessary.

[She was sweating profusely]

My commitment to her is more than this piece of Silver 💍 I kept on her finger. She has a part of me I never given out before - my heart and I trust God that she will treasure it the same way I would  treasure hers.

Babe our story is officially just beginning. Next stop is for me to see your parent and solemnize our union. I want to marry you already. I'm quite aware that you don't belong to me yet and until we are join in holy matrimony  I am committed to honoring you as we build this relationship in love and with absolute purity.

Until the day we start to share a beautiful life together,, I'm forever thankful that God would make our path cross and of course thank you for saying YES. It is great honor and a privilege.

Happy Birthday Somto (and Happy Anniversary)

Today will always be a very special day for me as it is a day that is very special to someone who is very special and important to me.

On this day, twenty something years ago was the day the woman I’m going to spend the rest of my God ordained life with Miss Somtochuckwu Michelle Ifunaya Ifeka was born. And today doubles as one month anniversary of our relationship (yeah we only just started).

That said; please join me in wishing Somto a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I won’t tell you her exact age but I will tell you she’s between 1 and 15 years. Lol…

On this your special day love, there are a few things I would love to share with you.

Firstly, there’s nothing I would love more than for you to know your maker the more; nothing else matters outside of Christ babe… HE is the reason for [y]our existence.

He created you, He made you beautiful, and He put you on this earth for a purpose for His glory. You are His beloved, His Joy, His Pride, the apple of His eyes. You are worth more to Him than peals and diamonds.

I encourage you to grow closer to God. The more I grow in my relationship with God, the more I realize that real maturity is not about age. Real maturity is making right decisions based on the word of God. Making decisions contrary to the word of God is immaturity.
I can't help but be excited about everything God is doing in your life. Please don't get distracted by anything. Enjoy life’s journey and embrace everything that will help you become a better woman for God.
Stay disciplined, grow in grace, grow in purity, grow in love, and grow in His WORD. True joy and fulfillment comes from Jesus, not an event (birthday).
Here is my special wish for you dear...

I want you to be beautiful not beautiful like the world but beautiful like Jesus. I want your face to show his love, your arms to show his strength, your hands to show his grace, your feet to show his selflessness and your words to show his mercy.

I pray that people see Jesus in you every day and that you inspire people to live and enjoy the life they've been given.

Happy Birthday Sunshine…

Now unto our Anniversary

Babe it’s been 30 magical days… we started this journey (our journey to covenant) on August 22nd 2014 and it’s been one of the most incredible 30 days of my life. I want you to know that I love you and I love you a lot.

I had no idea that what I have been praying long and hard for was right next to me. I thank God He opened my eyes and lead us both to this point. He is so faithful.

Babe although we've talked about this, I still want to reiterate that fact that the goal of our relationship is to honor God. He brought us together for His glory and for our good.

Yes we’re only thirty days in but I can say without a shadow of a doubt that you my princess are the coolest lady I know-- I don't know many girls who are young saved and godly for obvious reasons.

I want you to know that you’re not my crush for 30 days; you are my lady for life. I don't take likely anything God does so be rest assured that I won’t take you for granted… not ever. I’m going to rock and enjoy this life with you.

You my dear will be the co-captain of my ship, the queen of my castle, my very best friend and my (future) wife forever!!! I'm so thankful for the day that you were born! I'm convinced that God made you from me for me.

You've brightened up my life and provide a presence that cannot be matched by any other. I only have eyes for you. You are and will forever be my favor, my crown, and my rib. Thank you for agreeing to marry me advance ;).

I would tell you that I love you from the bottom of my heart but for you, my heart has no bottom.

Happy anniversary baby… Cheers to many more beautiful days, weeks, months and years. I look forward to us fulfilling all God has tasked us to do.
Grace to you and Peace.

Dear Future Wife – DFW

A while back, #DearFutureWife was trending and twitter and I jumped on it and did a few tweets. Apparently, some people liked my tweets so much that they favorite and retweet them and I got a couple of DM’s to tweet more on DearFutureWife  so this time, I decided to put it a note form so you too can enjoy it so here we go!

Before I jump on the topic proper, I want to say this for the purpose of clarity. I have had a lot of people ask me if, I was married or engaged to that special one; well, I am not married neither am I engaged but marriage is one thing that I’m so looking forward to.

I have heard so much and seen much gone wrong with marriages that it gives me a lot of concern however, no matter what happens in marriages, I do believe in marriage and I am looking forward to be married in the near future. God created marriage and He wouldn’t have created marriage if it wasn’t good.

No matter what our culture says, marriage is still God’s idea and a marriage that will work is a marriage that has God at its center. With that being said follow me as I share these thoughts with my future wife – whoever she is and wherever she may be.

Dear future wife, because I believe you are worth the wait, I’m in no hurry. I am patiently waiting on God to bring us together and whenever He puts us together is fine with me. He makes all things beautiful in His time. Until then, I'm waiting and serving. Can't wait to be with you and start a family with you my dear!

Marriage is a lot of work and with that in mind; I am fiercely preparing myself to be not just a great man but a godly man, a godly husband and a godly father. One that will lead our home in the way of the LORD and not according to what the culture says.

Dear future wife, I made a commitment to devote my life to Christ, letting Him shape me, mold me and make me into that godly man you’ve been waiting for. I make bold to say that I’m more in love with Jesus than I have ever been. And you are going to have a man after God’s heart for a husband.

Dear future wife, I can’t wait to ask your father your hand in marriage but before I do that, I will first go to your heavenly father and ask for your hand in marriage because when God approves of our union, your father will not disapprove. I can't wait to call you my wife, lover and best friend.

Dear future wife, I am striving daily to become a Job 31 man, because I want us to have a godly marriage. I want our marriage to be a module for many other marriages so we are going to have a close, Christ centered marriage relationship. I want people to see Christ in us and through us get to know Christ.

Dear future wife, let’s settle this absolutely: Sex for us will only be in marriage so until the day we exchange our marriage vows, be rest assured we will never mess with our bodies- God’s temple. Purity for us is not an option; it is a standard.

Dear Future Wife, No matter what life throws at us; divorce will never be an option. When we have rough times, we will pray through them and ask God for wisdom to work things out. I’m making a commitment in advance to be faithful to you all my life through thick and thin.

I need you to realize that conflicts are a normal part of a healthy relationship. It’s really not the absence of conflict that will determine whether or not we have good relationship but it’s knowing how to handle the conflicts that will (most certainly) arise will that determine whether or not we have good relationship.

I will never abandon you, not at anytime or in any form through all of life. You will be right by my side and our children will never be without a father. I promise you that I will make it home in time to spend quality time with you and our children.
Dear future wife, just so you know, I have been praying for you for everyday for the past five years and I won’t stop even after God brings us together. Here are some random prayers thoughts for you. All you have to do is say AMEN!

I pray that you will give your heart totally to Jesus Christ. I pray that you will treasure and cherish Him more than anything in this world. I pray that you will trust the Lord each day to get you through whatever life throws at you and grow in your relationship with Him daily.

I pray that Christ alone will always be enough as you as you wait on Him to bring us together. I pray that you will be contented with everything God has given you and that you will have patience to wait for the things He has promised you.
I pray that you become confident and humble. I pray that you become honest and kind. I pray that nothing will stop you from smiling and that you will always stay true to who you are. I pray that you will never lose faith in yourself and that you will stand apart from the crowd, set apart for Christ.

I pray that the LORD will protect you from all evil and grant you physical, spiritual and moral strength to fight temptations and difficulties. I pray that God will give you strength in areas where you are weak and strengthen you in every area of your life.

I pray that the LORD will God satisfy every desire of her heart, draw you close, consume your heart with His love, claim her passions, and may all that you strive to be draw you closer to God and He to you.

I pray that this prayers works for you in Jesus name. Amen!

Dear future wife, there is so much thoughts and prayers I want to share with you but I will take a bow here. I hope this piece blessed you.

Love,
Your future husband♥
-Emmanuel.

In closing, I want to encourage every unmarried person reading this by saying, marriage is a beautiful thing when it is done God’s way and hear this; there is a man/woman out there for you. Don’t stress, don’t sweat. God will bring him/her in His time but until then, make the most of your singleness for God.

Pray in advance for your future spouse, speak life and goodness into their life, tell God to keep him/her safe, cause him/her to grow into a godly man/woman and a godly husband/wife and fiercely prepare yourself towards marriage as you wait on God to bring you and my future spouse together.

Ladies if you loved this piece simply replace Dear Future Wife with Dear Future Husband.

Who has your heart? – Heart Check, Life Check

For a while now, GOD has been dealing with me on a whole range of issues. And one question that keeps lingering on my heart is does GOD still have our hearts?

JESUS in Matthew 15:8 spoke about a people. He said “These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.” Now I’m wondering if that in anyway describe you!

We live in world that in growing increasing godless and many of us (Christians) have wandered away from GOD. Our hearts have practically left God. We are no longer “falling into sin" but actively pursuing it.

We no longer admit our premeditated sinful actions and repent of them rather we’ve redefined sin to be “silly mistakes” we make every now and then… our hearts are so far from GOD and I wonder what happened!

Let's be real people. How many of us can say I (so and so) truly love GOD with the whole of my heart/life? Oh! You think attending church makes you a righteous person? The bible says a tree is identified by it FRUIT.

Although we confess CHRIST as our Savior; our Life demonstrates that our heart belongs to Satan.

I know you may not agree with that but then it’s the truth… we like Satan’s music. We date his sons, we date his daughters, we like his hate, we like his UN-forgiveness, we like his pornography, we like his clothes, we like his gossip,we like his greed, we like his lust we like his sex outside of marriage(fornication/adultery) and more.

We may not readily admit we like all these stuffs than we desire to please GOD but the way we prioritize our day and live our lives show what is important to us and what is not. It shows in whom/what we place our value. It shows what we are thinking about for the most part of the day.

It shows we no longer desire GOD instead we desire to listen to music that doesn’t edify us, watch mindless TV shows, gossip, have our boyfriend/girlfriend rub our back, build silly unhealthy relationships and more! It shows that we have replaced GOD with stuffs.

Why is it that though we claim we love GOD we HE no longer has first place in our lives? How come we don't talk to HIM, don't spend time with Him and aren't intentional about having a deeper relationship with HIM?

We only what to serve GOD when it is convenient for us and remember HIM only when everything else begins to fall apart- why? We need to realize that whatever we are chasing, if it is not GOD's will even when we catch/grab/get it, we still won't be satisfied.

Friends, we cannot hide from GOD. We need to STOP running from HIM. HE sees us and knows our thoughts even before we start thinking them. We don't have to continue living our lives feeling lost, broken, and ashamed.

This is an open rebuke and a wake-up call to us all. This isn’t a time to run from GOD but a time for us to run to GOD. We cannot continue to turn our hearts away from HIM. He is READY to take us back into His ever loving arms.

I encourage you to check yourself and see who/what has your heart! If there is something you need to repent of hastily do so. The spirit of GOD always convicts us of sin but if we fail to listen and repent, we won’t escape sins consequences.

In order for us to truly experience GOD we MUST seek after Him with ALL of our heart!!! He MUST be the ONE THING that drives us…Seeking Him must CONSUME our lives so get RID of anything that is hindering you; let go of whoever is pushing you around. Let go of the distractions. Let go of whatever is causing you to STUMBLE.

Forgive whoever has hurt you, HATE SIN, take time off facebook, twitter, and social media and bury your head in your BIBLE. Intentionally PURSUE CHRIST and seek a relationship with HIM.

Don’t look at where you have been or how much of a mess you have gotten yourself involved in and start looking unto CHRIST. You may not feel like it but when it comes to living for God, we cannot wait to feel like doing so before we do so.

Christ coming is imminent. Please don't miss out on RAPTURE for anything in this world. Scripture in Mark 8:37 ask this all important question! "What can a man/woman give in exchange for his/her soul?" I don’t know about you but I don’t want to go through HELL here on earth and end up in HELL. God forbid!

My concluding thought is; if God doesn’t have your heart; you better give it to Him right now! I urge you to fully embrace CHRIST with the whole of your heart and intentionally pursue HIM daily!!!

Things I want to say but probably won’t…

I want to tell her that she is amazing… she truly is.
I want to tell her she works too hard and needs to slow down before she hurt herself. I am worried.

I want to her to know that she can ask me for help. I will truly do anything I can but sadly I know she won’t.

I want her to know the effect she has on me though we’ve only know each other for a while, it feels like I have known her forever.

I want to tell her I only sleep well after she has wished me good night and told me “sugar dreams”.

I want her to understand that I’m human and not perfect. Though some of my approach may seem wrong, my intentions are always right, true and sincere!

I want her to know that she can trust me. I would never knowingly hurt her.

I want her to know I always want to talk to her but often hold back because I don’t want disturb her let alone annoy her. I want to talk anyway!

I want her to be happy, even if she is not going to be with me.
I want her to know she is loved….always!
