If Christmas means anything, then it must mean everything!

It’s a couple of days to Christmas and I’m thinking what Christmas really means!

The Christmas season is like no other season! It is one season everyone is excited about both Christians and non-Christians alike. It is a season of many activities- Christmas songs; exchange of gifts, fun shopping, church services, concerts and more but is this what Christmas is really about?

Too often, people get entangled with Christmas festivities so much so that they forget the real essence of Christmas. So what is Christmas all about?

Some (including my humble self) say it is about CHRIST; others say it is spending time with your family and loved ones. Some say it’s a time to give; others think it’s a time to receive.

Some say it’s a time to go visiting friends and families. Some think it’s a time for reduction in prices of items- mega sales, clearance sales and discount sales. Some feel it’s a time to clean their homes; others think it’s a time to get new cloths.

Christmas somehow, turns to put a lot of pressure on people. Some get into debt buying gifts for people (even those they don’t like); some get disappointed for not receiving gifts from people (even those who don’t like them).

Should there be pressure at Christmas? Absolutely not… If we truly are celebrating the birth of CHRIST, then our focus should be on HIM and not on gifts or any other thing. It’s great to give if we have to give; but it’s not the end of the world if we don’t.

The Christmas season is a season to be thankful for all we have been given. This life will pass away, and everything you see will go with it but rejoice and be exceedingly glad if you have a relationship with the one whom is being celebrated.

If Christ wasn’t born, HE wouldn’t have died. If He had not died, there will be no redemption and if there was no redemption, humanity will eternally be separated from God. The truth of the matter is Christmas without CHRIST is meaningless.

Have you ever pondered on how God could love us so much so that HE had to come down Himself in human form to redeem us? What will life have been for you if CHRIST had not come? What would life have been for the world if CHRIST didn't come?

Let’s not get swayed away from the real essence of Christmas! Christmas is more than cards, presents, parties, outings, wise men, Santa, new cloths, decorated trees or lights! Christmas is a time for sober reflection and re dedication… Christmas should be a reminder to live for God's glory and NOT our own. CHRISTMAS IS A TIME FOR US TO RE DEDICATE OUR HEARTS TO KING JESUS KNOWING THAT HIS RETURN IS IMMINENT.

Don’t be sad because you don’t have money to buy new clothes, food or gifts. JESUS is still CHRIST…HE was born, lived; died and rose. HE is still Savior and KING; HE is still faithful and kind; HE is still saving and delivering; healing and restoring.
Christmas is a time for us to give up our will and embrace the father’s will. It’s a time for us to reach out in love with the gospel of SALVATION!

In conclusion, I want to say to everyone that, if you don’t know JESUS, please don't let this Christmas pass you by- not for a second! THERE IS NO BETTER TIME TO GET TO KNOW CHRIST THAN IN THIS SEASON.
As we enjoy the activities of the season, let’s be on our best behavior and resist any and every form of evil! Let’s not get involved in things or activities that don’t honor God and whatever you do, don't forget the meaning behind it all- JESUS!
If Christmas means anything, then it must mean everything!
I wish you, your loved ones and families the Merriest Christmas ever! May God fill your hearts with His LOVE and grant all your heart desires!

An Experience at The experience 2012

With a heart filled with gratitude, I’m thankful for the Experience 2012. Over 10 hours of Praise, Worship and Prayers, it is the largest crowd pulling event of the year and the biggest gospel musical concert in the world (I would suppose).

Sammy Okposu and Chosen Treasure opened in worship and the praise party began. Chevelle Franklyn sang Nigerian gospel as though she was from here. She is an awesome singer. I bless God for her life.

Israel Houghton gave me the performance of my life and what can I say of Don Moen’s worship session, magnificent! Micah Stampley- Omg! Micah can pitch. Sad he didn’t get enough time.

As usual, the venue for this year’s concert was the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) where it’s been running for six years now except for last year’s that was held at the expo hall of Eko Hotel.

Featured international acts were Chevelle Franklin, Deitrick Haddon, Israel Houghton, Fred Hammond, Don Moen, Micah Stampley and Soweto Spiritual Singers while Sammy Okposu, Chosen Treasure, Mike Aremu, Timi Dakolo and Wale Adenuga represented Nigerian artistes.

Akpororo made the crowd laugh with rib cracking jokes before Deitrick Haddon brought heaven’s glory down. I have always wanted to be under Deitrick’s ministration and as God will have it, eXperience 2012 brought him.

Les I forget… Michelle Williams (formally of Destiny Child) sang the Nigerian national anthem and beautifully too. A lady by name Tosin, came in with crouches but amid the praise, God healed her. Tosin’s healing was just one of the many miracles God did on the night.

On security concerns, the organizers placed the security as its highest priority. I noticed the presence of easily identifiable armed security men and patrol men in and around the venue and parking areas. There were also loads of security flood lights that illuminated the venue and designated parking area.

Organization for me was topnotch. And in order for attendees to be comfortable with regards convenience, there were clean and easily accessible mobile flush toilet around the concert venue.

Food and drinks were also available for purchase at different stands in the venue and all night long

The passion and joy I received made the experience 2012 a truly great event. Worship ever felt any better than this. If for any reason you couldn’t attend this year’s own. Make sure you don’t miss next year’s. I’ve already booked my sit. See you at the experience 2013.

I’m Thankful For 2012 Are You Thankful?

2012 is one year many people will like to forget in a hurry given all that happened in the year. AT A POINT, I thought this year was never going to end but right before our very eyes, 2012 is winding up.

As the year draws to a close, I realize that I have a lot to be thankful for... so much that I cannot put together in one single note. GOD HAS BEEN GOOD ALL YEAR ROUND.

I’m taking this time to do what I love to do every year so here are some random things in no particular order that I’m thankful for!

First and foremost, I am eternally thankful for a relationship with God MADE POSSIBLE THROUGH CHRIST JESUS. The mystery of God’s love continues to amaze me. But for His grace and love, I wonder where/what I’d be.

I’m thankful for my family (nuclear and extended): my mother who raised me in the Lord and have always loved me, my brother Sam, and my sisters Katharine and Mercy for how they have enriched my life. MY SIBLINGS ARE THE MOST WONDERFUL, KIND, LOVING, BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE I KNOW.

I’m thankful for my niece Divine and nephew Daniel and the JOY I get whenever I’m around them. They are both beautiful gifts from God. Each is so uniquely different and yet so precious.

I’m thankful for Radisson Blu- the company WHERE I EARN MY DAILY LIVING. I'm grateful to Mr. Ayoola, Mr. David, Mr. Isa and Mrs. Juwah for believing in me. I have a privileged position and I'm not taking it for granted.

I’m thankful for my Church, Church Of God Mission International (CGMi) and my Pastor who allows me to serve in various ways. I’m thankful for All Nations for Christ Bible Institute where I’m studying to know more about God.

I’m thankful for a great mentors and friends who enrich my life. I’m grateful for their willingness to listen, counsel and advice me on pertinent issues and random things. I’M HUMBLED TO HAVE WONDERFUL PEOPLE IN MY LIFE.

I’m thankful for people like Ben Carson, Myles Munroe, John Hagee, Bishop TD Jakes and other wonderful authors. Although I didn't do so much reading this year, I'm thankful for GOOD BOOKS THAT INFORMED AND INSPIRED ME IN MANY AREAS.

I'm grateful to everyone who called me to order whenever I went off course. OPEN REBUKE SCRIPTURES SAY IS BETTER THAN SECRET LOVE. Your corrections made me a better person. A special thanks to Mrs. Isioma Fidel-Ewerem.

I’m thankful for s senior friend and brother- AJIBOLA WAHAB BABATUNDE for good, deep, rich, and wonderful friendship that inspires me to be my best at all times.

I'm thankful for this woman of God, Bolaji Blessing. I'm grateful for how she has blessed to my life, HER GODLY HEART, HER GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR, HER WISDOM, HER TIME AND ALL SHE SHARES WITH ME.

I’m thankful for annoying people, trials, temptations and character-building challenges that I encountered this year.
I’m thankful for the many souls that found JESUS this year. And I urge Christians everywhere to REACH OUT MORE with the GOSPEL of SALVATION. There is little or no time to spare.

I’m grateful to everyone who took time to see my blog, read my notes, like and comment, retweet, favorite and share my tweet/post and write ups. I didn't do a lot of writing this year but God helping, I will do more next year.

I’m thankful for our continent AFRICA. Despite everything the enemy planned to destabilize the continent, GOD STILL KEPT US TOGETHER AS ONE PEOPLE. Don’t relent in praying for AFRICA and for THOSE IN AUTHORITY.

I’m humbled and thankful for the love and support I get on face book, twitter and my blog site. It means a lot to me. I’m glad God uses (little) me to encourage you guys! I sincerely do appreciate all of you! Much love!

Lastly, I’m thankful for you. YES YOU reading this NOTE. I may not have mentioned you but believe me I’m thankful for you. THANKS FOR BEING PART OF MY LIFE.

Let me end by encouraging anyone who is going through whatever challenge.  Life sometimes gets tough and situations get hard yet, we should never give in or give up. NO MATTER WHAT BE THANKFUL AND ENDEAVOR TO MUST FINISH THE YEAR STRONG.

Be encouraged! The promises of GOD are yea and Amen. The year isn’t over yet. God can still make happen that miracle you are trusting HIM for. Do NOT give up. Do NOT lose hope.
As the year comes to an end, I challenge you to focus on thanking God from the depth of your heart and nothing more. YOU may have some needs yet to be met (we all have needs) but if you are grateful- guess what? GOD will do more.

Gratitude has a way of drawing down blessings from HEAVEN so end the year on the high. Don’t give in to despair because of the many circumstances you may be going through or might have gone through. If you look deep down, you will realize that there are so many reasons to give God praise! If not for anything, you are alive.

End the year on a grateful note!!!
