I’m thankful for 2014

In a couple of days, two thousand and fourteen [2014], will be history. I don’t know about anyone else but for me, I am grateful to God for 2014. It’s been a year of bliss, grieve, joy, ups, downs and more but with all that happen this year, God has brought us this far.

“Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD”. – Psalm 105:6

Some of you may [or may not] know that every year [since 2010] I write my thanks giving testament highlighting some random things I am thankful for and this year sure won’t be an exception.  When I look at all the LORD has done for me [and those around me], I can help but be thankful.

That said, here are a few random things that I’m thankful for in no particular order:

I am thankful for a relationship with God through Jesus. Following the LORD is the best decision I ever made and I urge you to get to know Jesus [if you don’t already know Him]. It is the most important decision you’d ever make.

I am thankful for each and every second for another opportunity to live. Many died this year but God loved me enough not to take life from me. To have lived another year is a blessing, God alone gets the glory!

I am thankful for family; I’m blessed to have a mother who raised me in the LORD and siblings who love and fear the LORD. I love each of them to the end of the world and back. “As for me and my household, we will FOREVER serve the Lord.”

I am thankful for my Church, I am thankful for the body of Christ, I am thankful for All nations for Christ Bible Institute, I’m thankful for the opportunity to serve in God’s Kingdom.

I’m thankful for Radisson Blu [I thank God I have a job]. If you have a job, be thankful for it; many people don’t have one. I love my job and I don’t take for granted all that I’m tasked to do there.
I am thankful for deep, purposeful friendships that have enriched my life. God bless you Sunny Okafor, Francisca Atie, Mary Achieng, Wahab Wahab Ajibola, Emmanuel Peter, Afolabi Olajide, Winifred Orji, Tosin Adetunji, Bolade Olatunji, Adebimpe Adeleke, Comfort Olibamoyo and everyone who has been part of my life in anyway. You inspire me to be the best person I can be. God bless you.

I am thankful for the Somtochukwu Ifunaya Michelle [and her family]. I won’t say much about her but I will say that God presented her to me in almost the same way he presented Eve to Adam. I am truly a blessed man.

I am thankful for social media - Twitter followers, Blog readers, Face Book friends and the whole social media community. Social media has given me a platform to share my heart and thoughts with the world and I appreciate all the feedback I get by way of comments.

I am grateful for trials, temptations, challenges; difficult people, annoying people all of which have helped me mature and become a better person. Indeed all things work together for Good to them that love the Lord.

I am grateful for good books, and for the love of reading. This year I was able to read 14 books [aside my Bible of course]. Did you read a book this year? If not, why not? Recommit to reading. Knowledge sets you apart from the rest.

I am thankful for good health… Ebola came but God didn't allow it get to us.
There is so much that I am thankful for but there are isn't enough words to describe God’s goodness. I am beyond thankful.

Are you thankful? If not, why not? Never feel you have nothing to be thankful for. Can you count you amount of breath you receive in a day? Who woke you up this morning? If you think you don’t have any blessings, remember your heart is still beating.

Don’t be among those who count their blessings on their fingertip but magnify their problems with a calculator; instead do the reverse.

There are people who will gladly take your problems than deal with theirs. There are people who have a lot less than what you have and are thankful. No matter your lot in life understand that God gives each of us enough to take us through the day. Be grateful for your portion.

The constant attitude for believers should be one of thankfulness. We should be thankful we did not lose everything even when it appeared we lost some things. True joy and satisfaction doesn't come from earthly things but from CHRIST – cling to Him.

“In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”- 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Until next time, stay focused.

I’m thankful for Two Thousand and Thirteen

The year is almost out… wow!  It’s unbelievable how the months rolled by. 2013 for me have been a magnificent year.  I’m grateful for the privilege to be alive and thankful for the countless blessings I have received throughout the year. God is good and He is all the time…

There are so many random things and people I need to be thankful for so in no particular order;

I am thankful for a rich, deep, meaningful relationship with God. I have never experienced God like I did this year and I am so thankful He loved me enough to sacrifice His son, purchasing my redemption, satisfying His wrath, and displaying His glory.

I’m thankful for having a family that loves and fears the LORD; a mother who lovingly brought me (Katherine, Mercy and Samuel) into this world and lovingly led us to the One who created this world. “As for me and my household, we will FOREVER serve the Lord.”

I’m thankful for the Bible. I read the Bible more this year than I ever had and trust me no other book come close. The Bible is God’s revealed word and I am so thankful for the privilege to teach, preach and write from this magnificent book.

I’m thankful for good books- knowledge is power, knowledge is priceless. I was able to read about thirteen books (excluding my Bible) this year and I must say there is an incredible amount of knowledge at our disposal. I wish more people take time (get off social media, put off their T.V) and read. Growth is impossible without knowledge.

I’m thankful for the company I work and the privileged position I hold there. I love being an accountant and I absolutely love my job. Shout-out to Tosin Adetunji, Mr. Ayoola Olajunju, Bolade Olatunji Adebimpe Adeleke and the entire finance staff.

I’m thankful for Sunny Okafor, Francisca Atie, Mary Achieng, Wahab Ajibola, Daniel Atie, Bolaji Blessing, Emmanuel Peter, Afolabi Olajide, Winifred Orji; a circle of individuals  who've enriched my life in many ways.

I’m thankful for those that have been a part of my life though they’re miles away from me. God bless you Ella Twum, Ebi Smart, Mary Achieng, Joshua Eze, Comfort Oliba, William Young and Toluwase Ayorinde.

I’m thankful for warm, caring friends who stood by me through good and tough times. You all are amazing. Some of you shared with me real extraordinary experiences and I salute your courage. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of your lives.

I’m thankful for great times, triumphs as well as challenges, frustrations, disappointments, sleepless-nights, heart-breaks, stress, all of which helped me improve and made me a better person.

I’m thankful for Twitter followers, Blog readers, Face Book friends and the whole social media community. Social media is amazing. I thank God I didn’t come in the 1950′s era but God put me in this age at this time.

I’m thankful for my church - Church of God Mission Int’l, All Nations for Christ Bible Institute and the precious souls that hold me accountable in my walk with the LORD. Following Jesus is the greatest decision I ever made.

There are many things that I have to give thanks for... but this one note isn’t enough to capture all however, I mustn't forget to mention that I’m thankful for you… you reading this. I’m thankful for the support that you give me, the likes, the comments, retweets, favorites, shares.... God bless you!

All of us have something to be thankful for. To say God hasn't been good to you is the highest form of ungratefulness. Just because God didn't do in your life what you saw HIM do in your neighbor’s life doesn't mean He isn't good.

One of the worst injustices that you can do to yourself is comparing yourself to others. God didn't create us the same. All of us are unique but different. Someone may appear to have it better than you but that doesn't mean their life is better than yours. Be grateful for your portion.

Psalm 105:6 tells us “Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD”. That literally means if you are alive, you have every reason to be thankful.

God appreciates our thanksgiving and gratitude. He doesn't need it but He wants it. He is already perfect and complete all in Himself. “The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me. - Psalm 50:23

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name.” - Psalm 100:4

Life does test everybody of us at some point but no matter what you go through somebody, somewhere has it much worse than you do so be thankful. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” - Philippians 4:6
When we take time to give thanks for who GOD is and all HE does, it increases our awareness of HIS presence in all that we do and in all that we are. All that we are God made us… All that we have God gave us. “For in him we live and move and have our being” Acts 17:28

Be thankful and don't let any situation push you away from God rather; let every situation remind you of how much you need Him.

I don’t know about you but as for me, I trust God no matter what it looks like, seems like or sounds like. My hope firmly rests in His promises, guidance and provision. There's absolutely nothing that can move me or make me change my trust in Him. I'm firmly rooted.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

I’m thankful for two thousand and thirteen… are you thankful?

I’m Thankful For 2012 Are You Thankful?

2012 is one year many people will like to forget in a hurry given all that happened in the year. AT A POINT, I thought this year was never going to end but right before our very eyes, 2012 is winding up.

As the year draws to a close, I realize that I have a lot to be thankful for... so much that I cannot put together in one single note. GOD HAS BEEN GOOD ALL YEAR ROUND.

I’m taking this time to do what I love to do every year so here are some random things in no particular order that I’m thankful for!

First and foremost, I am eternally thankful for a relationship with God MADE POSSIBLE THROUGH CHRIST JESUS. The mystery of God’s love continues to amaze me. But for His grace and love, I wonder where/what I’d be.

I’m thankful for my family (nuclear and extended): my mother who raised me in the Lord and have always loved me, my brother Sam, and my sisters Katharine and Mercy for how they have enriched my life. MY SIBLINGS ARE THE MOST WONDERFUL, KIND, LOVING, BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE I KNOW.

I’m thankful for my niece Divine and nephew Daniel and the JOY I get whenever I’m around them. They are both beautiful gifts from God. Each is so uniquely different and yet so precious.

I’m thankful for Radisson Blu- the company WHERE I EARN MY DAILY LIVING. I'm grateful to Mr. Ayoola, Mr. David, Mr. Isa and Mrs. Juwah for believing in me. I have a privileged position and I'm not taking it for granted.

I’m thankful for my Church, Church Of God Mission International (CGMi) and my Pastor who allows me to serve in various ways. I’m thankful for All Nations for Christ Bible Institute where I’m studying to know more about God.

I’m thankful for a great mentors and friends who enrich my life. I’m grateful for their willingness to listen, counsel and advice me on pertinent issues and random things. I’M HUMBLED TO HAVE WONDERFUL PEOPLE IN MY LIFE.

I’m thankful for people like Ben Carson, Myles Munroe, John Hagee, Bishop TD Jakes and other wonderful authors. Although I didn't do so much reading this year, I'm thankful for GOOD BOOKS THAT INFORMED AND INSPIRED ME IN MANY AREAS.

I'm grateful to everyone who called me to order whenever I went off course. OPEN REBUKE SCRIPTURES SAY IS BETTER THAN SECRET LOVE. Your corrections made me a better person. A special thanks to Mrs. Isioma Fidel-Ewerem.

I’m thankful for s senior friend and brother- AJIBOLA WAHAB BABATUNDE for good, deep, rich, and wonderful friendship that inspires me to be my best at all times.

I'm thankful for this woman of God, Bolaji Blessing. I'm grateful for how she has blessed to my life, HER GODLY HEART, HER GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR, HER WISDOM, HER TIME AND ALL SHE SHARES WITH ME.

I’m thankful for annoying people, trials, temptations and character-building challenges that I encountered this year.
I’m thankful for the many souls that found JESUS this year. And I urge Christians everywhere to REACH OUT MORE with the GOSPEL of SALVATION. There is little or no time to spare.

I’m grateful to everyone who took time to see my blog, read my notes, like and comment, retweet, favorite and share my tweet/post and write ups. I didn't do a lot of writing this year but God helping, I will do more next year.

I’m thankful for our continent AFRICA. Despite everything the enemy planned to destabilize the continent, GOD STILL KEPT US TOGETHER AS ONE PEOPLE. Don’t relent in praying for AFRICA and for THOSE IN AUTHORITY.

I’m humbled and thankful for the love and support I get on face book, twitter and my blog site. It means a lot to me. I’m glad God uses (little) me to encourage you guys! I sincerely do appreciate all of you! Much love!

Lastly, I’m thankful for you. YES YOU reading this NOTE. I may not have mentioned you but believe me I’m thankful for you. THANKS FOR BEING PART OF MY LIFE.

Let me end by encouraging anyone who is going through whatever challenge.  Life sometimes gets tough and situations get hard yet, we should never give in or give up. NO MATTER WHAT BE THANKFUL AND ENDEAVOR TO MUST FINISH THE YEAR STRONG.

Be encouraged! The promises of GOD are yea and Amen. The year isn’t over yet. God can still make happen that miracle you are trusting HIM for. Do NOT give up. Do NOT lose hope.
As the year comes to an end, I challenge you to focus on thanking God from the depth of your heart and nothing more. YOU may have some needs yet to be met (we all have needs) but if you are grateful- guess what? GOD will do more.

Gratitude has a way of drawing down blessings from HEAVEN so end the year on the high. Don’t give in to despair because of the many circumstances you may be going through or might have gone through. If you look deep down, you will realize that there are so many reasons to give God praise! If not for anything, you are alive.

End the year on a grateful note!!!
