Desperate times, desperate measures

Anger and frustration are rising to very dangerous levels, and we are rapidly approaching a boiling point. When people feel as though they have lost everything, they get desperate. And desperate people do desperate things.

I heard a story about a man in northern Kenya who was convicted for selling vulture meat as chicken. While I’m not condoning him, I want to point out that it all down to something beyond his control- poverty.

Many people have had to resort to desperate measures to survive.

Not quite long too, a canteen in Cotonou was found to be cooking dog meat and serving it as beef. When people discovered what they had been eating, they burnt the place to the ground but this sort of thing will keep happening until African governments start improving the lot of their citizens.

Every day when I say my prayers, I ensure that I say  a word pray our beloved continent, her leaders and citizens. You too should do same.
